TWO-FACTOR AUTHENTICATION (2FA)
TWO-FACTOR AUTHENTICATION (2FA), referred to as two-step verification or dual-factor authentication, is a security process in which users provide two different authentication factors to verify themselves.
IMPACT: Prevent user accounts from being hacked by others and ensure that the access is given to the right user.
ADVANTAGE: To enhance security and protect against fraud.
UNIMAS is implementing Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) for student and academic applications, using 2FA providers in phases as outlined in the table below:
